Herbals, also called tisanes, are infusions using any plant except Camellia Sinensis and they come from almost every country on the globe. Herbs have been used since the dawn of man for various reasons, mostly health related. Since herbals come from an infinite number of plant sources they have an endless range of flavors and health benefits. Some have calming effects. Some are natural antihistamines and reduce inflammation in the body. Some aid in digestion by increasing the flow of digestive juices. Others are known to be rich in antioxidants and minerals. BUT we're not doctors and we simply drink them because they're delicious.

HERBAL PYRAMID TEA BAGS

Our teabags, or ‘pyramids’ contain the same high quality loose leaf tea and blends that we sell as whole leaf orthodox tea. The teas are blended in our warehouse in Wakefield, MA and sent to a facility that packages them into pyramids. The pyramids are roomy enough to allow the tea to unfurl and steep properly. Our tea bags are composed of Soilon which is a Polylactic acid (PLA)-based material that is biodegradable, and the seams are heat-sealed rather than sealed with plastic in order to maintain the integrity and safety of their makeup.

Since herbals tend to be a spectrum of leaf size, particulates, flower petals, spices, herbs, and so on we recommend brewing them in a traditional western style where the teapots and infusers have fine mesh strainers that can deal with any and all ingredients in our excellent selection of herbals.
