White Tea Category Header

White Tea is originally named for the fine white hairs on the new buds of the tea plant. Traditionally white tea is made solely from the newly grown tea buds before they unfurl into leaves. In the last century, the top two baby tea leaves have also been added to create a darker color and stronger flavor. While it still contains caffeine, white tea is the least processed of all teas and retains a maximum of the beneficial elements.
